About this Talk

Male factor infertility constitutes 30-50% of human infertility. Despite being half the problem, only 1 in 5 men have a proper male infertility evaluation before pursuing IVF. We now know that male infertility 1) can be cured, often rendering IVF unnecessary, 2) may reflect underlying health issues that need medication attention, 3) treatments can increase the success rates of IVF procedures, and 4) treatments are more cost-effective than IVF. These are very good reasons for the male partner of every infertile couple to undergo a proper male factor infertility evaluation.
