Dr. N. Edward Dourron discusses how Natural IVF and Mini Stim IVF have come full circle in the world of IVF. He addresses why we have all been taught that “more is better” when it comes to egg retrievals and explains why women with diminished ovarian reserve or multiple failed standard IVF cycles can be ideal candidates for these more gentle approaches. Many IVF doctors are not aware of how much Natural and Mini Stim IVF have advanced since the early days of IVF. He shares an example of a patient who came to him after 2 failed IVF cycles who went through Minimal Stimulation IVF and had a healthy pregnancy and has a frozen embryo ready when she is.
